Document and certificate verification
Is the document genuine? Ask the people who issued it.
Forged degrees and fake experience letters are common. JDIB checks documents with the institutions, employers and authorities that issued them, with the right authorisation.
Documents we verify
- Degree certificates, mark sheets and diplomas.
- Experience, relieving and salary letters.
- Professional registrations and licences.
- Business documents, such as registrations, letters of authority and agreements.
- Property documents, for review alongside your lawyer.
How it works
We confirm the document directly with the issuing body wherever possible, using the authorisation of the person the document belongs to. Where direct confirmation is not possible, we explain what was and was not established.
Who uses it
Employers checking candidates, families checking a prospective match, and businesses checking a counterparty's paperwork.
Lawful and discreet
We work only through lawful means. We do not hack accounts, tap phones, obtain call records, place tracking devices or read private messages. Anyone who offers that is breaking the law, and so would the client.
Questions about document and certificate verification
Do you need the person's consent?
Yes. These checks are carried out with the person's knowledge and authorisation, which also makes references and documents far easier to verify.
How long does it take?
We agree an estimated timeline with you before work begins. Simple checks are faster than multi-part investigations, and the availability of information can affect completion.
How much does it cost?
Every case is different, so charges depend on what needs to be checked, where and for how long. You receive a written quotation before any work begins. What affects detective charges.
Is my enquiry confidential?
Yes. Enquiries and assignments are handled discreetly, as explained in our Privacy Policy.
