Some questions can only be answered by watching what actually happens. JDIB's trained investigators carry out discreet surveillance and authorised undercover work, documented carefully and lawfully.
Surveillance
Discreet observation of movements and meetings in public places, recorded with times, places and, where lawful, photographs. Used in personal, matrimonial, insurance and corporate matters.
Undercover work
Placement of a trained investigator in a role, such as an employee, customer or buyer, with the authorisation of the business concerned, to investigate theft, malpractice or misconduct. Also used for mystery shopping and market checks.
Our limits
- No entry into private homes or premises without permission.
- No impersonation of police, government or other officials.
- No tracking devices, phone access or interception of communications.
- No observation that amounts to harassment or stalking.
Lawful and discreet
We work only through lawful means. We do not hack accounts, tap phones, obtain call records, place tracking devices or read private messages. Anyone who offers that is breaking the law, and so would the client.
Questions about surveillance and undercover
Is hiring a private detective legal in India?
Yes, hiring a private detective for a lawful purpose is legal. Some methods are not: accessing call records, hacking accounts, intercepting messages or placing tracking devices is illegal, and JDIB does not do them.
Will the person know they are being observed?
Surveillance is planned to stay discreet. No method can be guaranteed undetectable, and we will discuss the risks with you before work begins.
How much does it cost?
Every case is different, so charges depend on what needs to be checked, where and for how long. You receive a written quotation before any work begins. What affects detective charges.
