Terms of engagement
How enquiries and cases work with JDIB.
Last updated: 15 October 2026
About these terms
These terms apply to your use of jdib.org and to enquiries and cases with JDIB - Private Intelligence Bureau (“JDIB”, “we”). The written scope and quotation agreed for a specific case forms part of these terms; if they differ, the agreed scope and quotation prevails for that case.
Independent agency
JDIB is an independent private agency with no government or police affiliation. We do not exercise any powers of the police or any public authority.
Enquiries
Sending an enquiry does not create an engagement. A preferred consultation date is a request until we confirm it. We may decline any enquiry or case at our discretion, including where the purpose is unclear or unlawful.
Lawful purpose only
You confirm that your request is for a lawful purpose and that you are entitled to share the information you provide. We will not accept cases intended to harass, stalk, intimidate, discriminate against or unlawfully harm any person. We work only through lawful means. We do not hack accounts, tap phones, obtain call records, place tracking devices or read private messages. Anyone who offers that is breaking the law, and so would the client. We may stop a case if we reasonably believe it is being used for an unlawful purpose.
Who carries out the work
Cases are carried out by JDIB's investigators. Assignments outside Bengaluru may be carried out with trusted partner investigators under confidentiality.
Scope, fees and payment
Each case begins only after the scope, proposed checks, charges, estimated timeline and deliverables are agreed in writing (including by WhatsApp or email). Charges are quoted for each case. Payment terms, including any advance, are stated in the quotation. Work outside the agreed scope needs a fresh agreement.
No guaranteed outcome
Findings depend on the agreed scope and on what is lawfully available. We do not guarantee any particular result, recovery of money, or legal outcome. Reports separate supported findings, discrepancies and matters that could not be verified, and are not legal advice. Whether any material is used or accepted in court is a matter for your lawyer and the court.
Confidentiality and use of reports
We treat your enquiry and case as confidential, subject to our Privacy Policy and any legal obligation. Reports are prepared for your use only. Please do not publish them or use them to harass, defame or unlawfully harm anyone.
Website content
Information on this website is general and may change without notice. The JDIB name, logo and website content may not be copied without our permission.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, JDIB is not liable for decisions you make based on a report, or for indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability for any case is limited to the charges you paid for that case.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka have jurisdiction over any dispute.
